Helen was born in South Carolina and lives in Southern California.

In January 1985, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and and retired in April 2006 with 21 years of Honorable service.

In 2010, she began volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children.

 

She has also served with other various organizations/ministries as their Administrative Pastor, Director of Childrens Ministry, Teacher, Manager of Operations, Website Developer, and Website Administrator. Her passion is working with children. Helen's loves sharing the transforming power of God's Word. She delights in bringing God's Word to others and making it relevant and applicable to everyday life. Helen teaches with a transparent vulnerability that enables her to connect directly to the heart of all people. As a survivor of many violent crimes, Helen has endured unimaginable heartache and pain. Although fear held her captive for nearly three decades, her story is now an amazing testimony of God's strength in our weakness, His hope in our hopelessness, and His healing in our brokenness. With warmth, transparency and contagious passion, Helen speaks from a heart that has been transformed by the power of God's love. Helen has been described as profoundly downright real. People relate to Helen because she has walked the path of doubt. She has experienced questions of "why?" in her personal relationship with God. Helen learned to trust God through His never-ending love, grace, and faithfulness in her life. Helen says, "I grew in faith; not in spite of my doubt, but because of it." Her spiritual gifts are healing, encouragement, teaching, and intercessory prayer.
